“Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox” by Eoin Colfer

This is the sixth book in the Artemis Fowl series, and if you’ve read this far, you won’t be disappointed with the latest installment. The Time Paradox finds Artemis and family doing well – except for his mother, who has a mysterious sickness. Artemis calls on his friend Holly Short and Foaly to help him go back in time to save the one and only creature who can save his mother. Clever highjinks ensue, and Artemis must outsmart his younger self to save his mother in the future by bringing the very last silky sifaka lemur back to the future, instead of destroying it, as his younger self did. Lots of questions about time travel come to the surface, which makes this one of the more “thinking hard” Artemis Fowl books.

I give it 8 out of 10. (My ratings for the other Fowl books are: Artemis Fowl, 8; Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident, 7.5; Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code, 7.5; Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception, 7; and Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony, 7)
