“Masquerade: a Blue Bloods novel” by Melissa De La Cruz

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might remember my review on the first Blue Bloods book – if not, know that I gave the first one a 4, because I thought it was pretty silly. In the new vampire book tradition, the author just makes up the rules instead of following the standard vampire rules of crosses, garlic, blood drinking. Also, many of the vampire books written after Twilight find the young vampires as utterly fabulous socialites in New York, which is hard to swallow.

Anyway, Masquerade wasn’t any better than the first book. The writing is obvious and clunky, transitions leave a lot to be desired, and I just don’t care about many of the characters. Schuyler goes to Italy to search for her grandfather, Mimi continues to be jealous of Bliss, and Jack still has conflicting emotions between Mimi and Schuyler. The Committee finally agrees that there is a Silver Blood threat, and the book ends on a ridiculous cliffhanger. I give this one a 4 as well, and I won’t be reading any more in this series. If you want decent vampire stuff, go with P.C. Cast’s House of Night series – the first book is Marked.

Ok sory to say this but obvoisly you have no brains in how to say things. I agree with a four becaue i'm at a seinior reading level and it was a little confusing to me but otherwise the book was great.

What about the book made it great for you? I explained why I thought the book was lousy, but you didn't explain what you liked about it. Give me some evidence to back up your feelings.

okay well the storyline was realistic. I mean I can really relate she's going through changes in her life come on she just found out she's some type of vampire. She's looking for her grandfather in italy then goes on a chase scean to a woman that looks exactly like her mom. If that's not proof enough then. lol for you;)

p.s. If I hurt your fellings sorry
