"The Tales of Beedle the Bard" by J.K. Rowling

After reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I was intrigued by the tale of the three brothers - the one that explains what the deathly hallows are. Hooray for J.K. Rowling for publishing this tale, as well as others, for those of us who are longing for more Harry Potter goodness.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard are 5 short "fairy" tales that are said to be told to wizard children as our own fairy tales are told to our children. This book was extremely enjoyable, as there is commentary by Albus Dumbledore after each tale to give more information and background. Teen readers who like Harry Potter will enjoy this dip into that world one more time, despite its location in the juvenile (children's) section of the library. I give it 7 out of 10, so if you're a Harry Potter fan, you should make time to pick this one up.
