"Vampire Kisses: Blood Relatives" by Ellen Schrieber

Since I haven't read too many graphic novels, I thought it would be cool to read this one. It only took me 30 minute to read through it, even taking the time to read the intro in the beginning.

It wasn't until I finished that I realized that this is a different series than the regular Vampire Kisses series. I spent most of my half-hour reading wondering why there seemed to be no character development, why the author just seemed to assume that the reader would know everything about this world.

Here's the plot: Raven, the only goth in Dullsville, has fallen in love with the local vampire. They are happy until her beau's cousin, who likes to wreck havoc with mortals, appears in town looking for something.

Yes, that's it for the first graphic novel - very basic. There's a second one, but I don't think I'll read that one, at least until I try to get my hands on a copy of novel that started it all. I give this one a 5 out of 10, for now. If I get a chance to read the beginning, that rating might go up.
