“Vampire Kisses” by Ellen Schreiber

My longtime readers will remember that I reviewed the graphic novel of this story, called Blood Relatives, and was very confused. The novel version totally cleared up my confusion as it gave the backstory of Raven and Alexander. (Well, it's not really the "back" story when this book was published before Blood Relatives, but you know what I mean).

Since I knew what happened with Alexander, the mystery was not a big part of the story for me, but I really enjoyed the story anyway. I love Raven as a character - she’s strong for her friends, she doesn’t take crap from the guy who’s bullying her, and she’s really funny. She stays true to herself, even when falling for Alexander, which I think is really cool.

The ending left me hanging (not really in a good way) but I’m definitely going to read the next one because I can’t wait to find out what happens to Raven next! This is one of the better vampire and love/romance books I’ve read, and I give it a 7.5.
