This is the second book in the Vampire Academy books. I read the second one because “Pammy” who left a comment with that review said that these books get better. Pammy wasn’t lying.
Rose and Lissa are still mind-linked, but the Strigori are becoming more organized, attacking Moroi royals in large groups. With this threat, the Vampire Academy takes its students to a luxury ski resort, to better protect them. When word of another attack surfaces and Rose’s friends disappear, she must team up with Christian and try to save them.
This book was a lot better than the first one. I like how Mead is planting little mysteries for future books – what, really, is the cost of being shadow-kissed? What other cool things can Lissa do as a spirit user? And what kind of complications will Adrian bring for Rose? I’ve already put the next book on hold – I can’t wait to see where this story goes! This one gets a 7.5 from me.
